The loudspeaker offers a stellar quality that is free from interference or crackling and means you can have the phone on handsfree and get excellent quality calls. There are many handset manufacturers that favour the Qualcomm chipsets, and it is nice to see that Sony is sticking with them for the Xperia 10 plus. Under the hood, you get a Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 (14 nm), an Octa-core 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 CPU with an Adreno 509 GPU. Being an Android offering, it comes running Android 9.0 Pie which is the latest version, so we are happy to see this.

In terms of memory and storage, there are 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. If you are looking to get more space, then you can simply use the microSD slot which will take a card of up to 512GB for increase storage and should offer more than enough for most users. This is a dual SIM handset, but the second SIM slot also doubles as the microSD card space so you can only do one or the other, not both. However, for most users, a single SIM is all that is required.

Supporting this hardware is a decent size 3000mAh battery which gives a good level of use between charges and enables you to go out and about without needing to worry about running out of charge. The handset charges via a USB cable which is included in the box and offers Quick Charge 3.0 so you won’t have to wait long to recharge.
