It runs on almost all smartphones, other than Apple iPhones and a select few others. Android works very closely with Google, making sure you\u2019re able to make use of all regular Google services and security updates. This includes Google Docs and Gmail. We see yearly updates from these giants in the tech world and 2021 rumours have caused quite the stir. You\u2019re going to want to stick around and hear what\u2019s due to come.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When will we be getting Android 12?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Normally, we see the new Android upgrade hit in around September of each year. With this in mind, it\u2019s highly likely that we can expect to receive this Android 12 in September 2021. If this date is legit, then app developers could see the first beta version in as little as just a week&#8217;s time. This would then suggest the first public beta version sometime in May. This won\u2019t be available to everyone though so don\u2019t get too excited. You won\u2019t be able to enjoy Android 12 until it\u2019s officially released. Even then, some handsets won\u2019t receive this update until 12 months time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What features can we expect?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are very few leaks surrounding the new operating system upgrade as of now. Everything that is being discussed is purely based upon rumours and expectations. One thing we do know is that Android 12 will be easier to use than it already is. This comes after a blog post from Android directly. Their blog stated the ability to use more app stores, which will allow their users to get the very best apps safely and securely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One rumoured feature that\u2019s being spoken about an awful lot is the ability to roll operating system updates out via the play store, rather than through the settings directly. This will allow more people to enjoy the updates when they\u2019re first available. It also takes a lot of the strain off older Android handsets directly!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A popular iOS feature is the ability to share passwords and login details via wifi. Android 12 could see this feature hitting the latest update. This includes the ability to share wifi passwords, rather than having to intensely stare at the wifi router to enter a password. This would make everyone\u2019s life so much easier!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One last rumour that is causing a lot of talk in the Android world is the idea of changing the home screen to fit an iOS vibe. This would introduce changeable widgets to the screen and even the stackable widgets that iOS lovers are obsessed with! A lot of Android fans like the difference from Apple and would be unhappy to see these two systems become so similar.
