One such location where this is the case is Glastonbury, which is set to be the festival where EE offers exclusive access to their 5G network<\/a>. It\u2019s going to be a place to be, and we\u2019re going to be covering what it is that they\u2019ve got on offer here and now. <\/span><\/p>\n

Festival Fun and Good Network Coverage<\/b><\/h2>\n

So, there\u2019s no doubt that when it comes to festivals and getting the most out of them, Glastonbury Festival is considered to be one of the best in the business. It\u2019s a location which is well known for offering so much in the way of activities and a vibrant atmosphere, and it\u2019s always packed to the brim with people. <\/span><\/p>\n

To be honest, that\u2019s probably why it\u2019s been selected as the trial site for EE\u2019s 5G network. In addition to their regular services which they offer to people at Glastonbury, they\u2019ve also made sure that people who want to access 5G can do just that. Via the installation of 4 new masts at strategic places inside the festival, they can temporarily generate a 5G network which will encapsulate everyone inside of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why Glastonbury?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Of course, we\u2019re a company which is pretty interested in the ‘why’. Why is this happening? Why are they doing what they\u2019re doing? Well, there\u2019s a couple of different reasons that we\u2019d like to mull over, and they all point towards a smart decision by EE. <\/span><\/p>\n

Think about it like this. The 5G network isn\u2019t tested properly. It\u2019s not adequately released to the public yet. But this does allow EE the chance to collect some valuable information about the network and how it performs under intense pressure. A lot of people at the festival will be EE customers, and so they\u2019ll be able to get onto the network and explore it for themselves. So what this festival does is provide people with an excellent chance to explore the system, see how well it can do, and then correct any slight issues that it may have. From a perspective of analysis, it\u2019s genius. <\/span><\/p>\n

All things considered, there is no doubt that this is an excellent choice which will only serve to accentuate just how well the company is doing, and we\u2019ll be quite keen to see how well things go when it comes to testing out the network at Glastonbury. You know that social media usage will be high and demand will be considerable, so this is the perfect time to make sure that the network can work well and people can use it without issues.
