That\u2019s precisely what\u2019s happened with Samsung<\/a>, who have released a new update for the camera of the Note 9<\/a>, despite being just a few months from the release of its successor. However, it\u2019s lovely to see a bit of TLC going on, and we\u2019re always interested to see what\u2019s available, so we\u2019re going to launch right into the world of the upgrade here and now. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Update of the Hour<\/b><\/p>\n

Alright, let\u2019s take a look at the update in question. We\u2019re all very used to the camera of the Note 9 by now – it\u2019s a powerful thing that can take incredible snapshots. However, the update is coming through with the April security patch, and it\u2019s going to progress far from Germany where it\u2019s already come out. What you\u2019ve got to appreciate is that this new feature may well change the way that we look at the camera on the phone itself. <\/span><\/p>\n

So, what\u2019s new? Well, there\u2019s the long-awaited option to schedule a night mode, and the default setting for selfies has been enhanced and altered. There\u2019s now a standard option for 68-degree vision, instead of the previous 80-degrees. This makes taking selfies that bit easier, especially when you consider that there\u2019s a slimmer field of view for a more closely-cropped photo. <\/span><\/p>\n

Downloading the Patch<\/b><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re as excited as we are to get access to this patch, then you\u2019re going to want to go to the Settings part of your phone to kick the whole process off. Once there, go to Software Update, and if it\u2019s become available in your area, the option to download will be there. It\u2019s as simple as that – Samsung wanted this to be effortless. <\/span><\/p>\n

Our Thoughts<\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the most significant update, but you can\u2019t deny that it\u2019s one of the best we\u2019ve seen for the Note 9. There are not masses being altered, but the changes are noticeable whenever you go to take a selfie. Our principal approval comes from the fact that when you pair this with the existing features of the device, you get something which allows for quick and easy photos of high quality. We\u2019ll be looking forward to playing around with the new functions for ourselves, and seeing what differences are available. <\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, it\u2019s easy to see why this is going to be an excellent update, and we can\u2019t wait to get our hands on it. While it\u2019s not available everywhere just yet, every day will most likely open it up to somewhere brand new.
