Fun iPhone Tricks You Need

If you’re getting a little bored of your iPhone, you’re going to want to read about these iPhone tricks you need to spice up your life again. From tricks to make your phone more fun or just tips to make your life easier, we’ve got a whole range of suggestions that we’re sure you will love.

Screenshot Trick

There’s nothing more frustrating than needing to share a webpage or even text conversation with someone but having to take endless screenshots. Apple actually has an iPhone trick to solve this that they haven’t even been screaming about. To take a full page screenshot, head to the top of the page you want to capture. Screenshot as you regularly with by using the volume and home screen buttons. When the preview pops up in the bottom of the screen, tap this. At the top of the page, you’ll see an option for ‘Full Page’. Tap this and you’ll have the entire page saved to your photo gallery.

Copy and Pasting

A real struggle that people experience with iPhones is trying to copy and paste text. When you tap text, it highlights. Tapping it again is meant to offer a range of options however, it usually results in the text unhighlighting. A way you can avoid this is by using a gesture rather than tapping. Start by highlighting the text you want to copy. Once you’ve done this, pinch the screen with three fingers to copy. When you want to paste it, pinch the screen in reverse with three fingers. This is a super quick way to copy and can save you a  lot of stress too!

Create Customer Vibrations

Caller ID is the easiest way to tell who is trying to get hold of you. When your phone is in your pocket, out of reach or even in your bag, receiving a call can be a bit harder than usual. If you want to make sure you don’t miss important calls from certain people, you can actually set them up with specific vibrations. This way, when you feel the standard vibrations in your pocket, you know it’s not urgent. To do this, head to your contacts and find the person you want to customise. Tap into Ringtones > Vibrations and add a new vibration. By tapping the screen, you’ll create your very own customer vibration that you can recognise in your pocket.

Hide Photos

We’ve had a look at a few different ways to hide photos before, from locking them into a note to adding them to the hidden folder. With this new tip added to our iPhone tricks list, you can hide photos in plain sight. All you need to do is start by selecting the photo you want to hide. Tap edit in the top corner and select crop. Crop the photo down to a specific detail, such as someone in the back, and save the photo. If someone is looking at your photo gallery, it will just look like you’ve taken a photo of another person. When you want to see the original photo, go back to edit and tap ‘Revert To Original’.

Send Handwritten Notes

Sometimes, a handwritten note is slightly more personal. Of course, in this day and age, letters take some time to reach the recipient, making texting way more efficient and less effort. With this iPhone trick, you can send handwritten notes to anyone, whenever you want. All you need to do is head to the message and unlock your screen rotation. Turn the phone on to the side and tap the small squiggle in the bottom right corner. Now, just use your finger to write and tap send.

Save Time Filling in Forms

One of the longest things when filling out forms is typing your email multiple times. Most times, you need to enter your email in order to sign up and receive updates. We can’t think of a single site you can sign up to without entering your email. A lot of the time, you’ll be asked to confirm the email just to make sure it’s right. This is where our next trick comes into play. Head to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement and select the + in the top corner. Now, all you need to do is type your email in the phrase section and your chosen replacement in the shortcut.

Photograph Using Sound

Sometimes, when you’re taking a photo, you need to use the timer and sometimes, the timer just isn’t long enough. Timers can become a real pain, especially in group photo scenarios. Lucky for you, we’ve got a tip on our iPhone tricks list to help you over come this. Start by heading to Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control > Customise Demands > Custom and choose the word you want to use to take photos. Tap run customer gesture and tap where the camera shutter is. Now, when you open the camera app and say your chosen word, your iPhone will take a picture.

More iPhone Tricks To Know

We all know the pain of trying to change the spelling of a word a bit further back. It’s not particularly easy to actually go back without deleting the message up to the word you want to change. That’s all changed with this neat little trick. All you need to do is press and hold on the space bar and swipe along it. This will move the cursor backwards and forwards so you can easily edit words anywhere in your message.

When you’re using safari, you can get from website to website by typing the URLs, just like any other smartphone. Apple has given us the ability to actually do this way faster than any other smartphone. Start by typing the beginning of the URL into the search bar. When you get to the last section, which is usually .com or .co.uk, hold down the full stop button. Doing this will bring up a range of options, allowing you to press once to finish the URL.
