Apple Launch Event 2020

Each year, we see new releases from Apple and with the Apple launch event 2020, we’re getting some top notch devices very soon. The September event usually brings all the flagship devices for these tech giants. Whilst we’re getting an awful lot, we haven’t been told about everything that’s expected for 2020, the best bits have actually been left out.

What happened at the Apple launch event?

On Tuesday 15th September, the Apple launch event took place. This introduced a whole new range of Apple devices into the market from tablets to watches. One thing that we didn’t get to see was the 2020 iPhone. This came as a huge shock to a lot of people as September is when we normally see the next flagship announced. Although this is the case, Apple’s fanbase are still buzzing to get their hands on the new iPads and Apple watches. These have all had huge upgrades that are sure to raise standards within the technology world.

Apple Watch 6

There have been so many different types of Apple watches released over the last few years. These are smart watches that allow you to view almost everything from your mobile phone right from your wrist. During the Apple launch event just the other day, we met the next generation with the Apple Watch 6. With this addition, we get a few key upgrades from the previous devices. A huge upgrade is actually the chipset that’s behind the workings on the device. This will offer you an experience smoother than ever before. You’ll notice a serious difference between this and previous additions.

Of course, the release date doesn’t tend to be the same as the announcement date, especially when it comes to Apple. You don’t have to wait too long to get your hands on this device as it’s actually been released today, Friday 18th September. Once the event had ended, the device was put on pre order. Prices are a little higher than what you can get older devices for, starting at £379 for the 40mm addition. If you would like the larger watch with the 44mm face, you’ll be looking at paying £409. To get the cellular connectivity device, you will be looking at higher prices than these.

Apple Watch SE

That’s right, you’re not getting just one new Apple watch. Instead, Apple has decided to create a budget friendly addition with the Apple Watch SE. Much like the iPhone SE, this is due to open up the smartwatch market to those on a lower budget. You can actually get this new watch for only £269. If you would prefer the cellular version, you’ll have to pay £319. Either way, these prices are a lot lower than those that you’re looking at paying for the higher specification devices. You don’t even lose out on any of the features that make these devices outstanding.

As if releasing two brand new Apple watches wasn’t enough, they’ve also released a few new bands. All the bands we’ve seen with the watches require buckles to completely secure them. Sometimes, doing this buckle up with one hand is next to impossible. For those that do struggle, you can now purchase Solo Loop or Braided Solo Loop bands, both buckle free. You can just easily slip it over your hand to get it on. Just like the higher specification watch for 2020, the Apple Watch SE is released today so you can get your hands on it quickly.

iPad Air 4

If you’re an Apple fan, you’ll already know that they’ve got a lower tier iPad, a mid range iPad and then the higher specification iPads. Adding to their mid range is the new iPad Air 4. As for release dates, it’s not exactly sure when this is going to be. In the Apple launch event, all we were told was October time. This could mean that it’s released in alignment with the new iPhone announcement however, nothing has been confirmed from Apple. We do know prices though, which are starting at £579 for the lowest specification device. Of course, this price will rise as you increase the specs.

Previously, the Air range has been considered the next step up from Apple’s standard iPads. With the new 2020 addition, it’s been described as a step down from the Pro additions. This marks a huge improvement from Apple as just this comment shows how high quality the new iPad Air 4 is. You’ll get a whole new range of colours when it comes to this year. With the silver, space grey, rose gold, green and blue devices available, you can seriously show off your personality through your technology.

New iPad

To further the iPad range even more, they’ve also created a new iPad (2020). This offers users a new standard variant of the beloved tablet. It seems that Apple have really decided to expand their budget range as this is coming in at only £329 for the regular variant. This is a significant mark down against the other iPads available. It has also been confirmed that the iPad (2020) will be hitting shelves on Friday 15th September. They’re making these devices easily accessible so you can get ready for the next few weeks.

To keep costs low, you won’t see much of a difference in terms of design. This iPad has kept hold of the curved edges and big screen bezels. You can even find an actual home button on this device, rather than a 3D touch button. There’s a typical 10.2 inch retina LED display, which will allow you to view exactly what you want in huge amounts of detail. You can be sure that everything you put on this screen is going to be such high quality that you feel completely immersed within the iPad.

Apple One Subscription

Not only has Apple given us a whole bunch of physical devices, but they’ve also got a brand new subscription service, Apple One. With this, you can get a huge range of Apple services at a bundle price. This includes iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, Apple News Plus and Apple Fitness Plus. Through this you can enjoy all your favourite Apple services whilst saving money. The fitness plan is a new addition as well so you’ll be one of the first to give this a try.

Joining Apple One would only make sense if you were to save money. Music platforms in this day and age cost around £10 a month for an individual. With Apple One, you can enjoy 7 whole subscriptions at only £14.95. For a family plan, you’re looking at paying £19.95 whilst a premium plan, with huge iCloud storage options, is available at only £29.95. It’s clear to see that you’ll be saving a huge amount of money just by signing up for this amazing new subscription service.

If you love what the Apple launch event 2020 has to bring, we’re sure you’re going to be dying to get your hands on the new devices. Make sure you pre register to be alerted with any updated news regarding the new iPhone. We should be hearing about it very soon!
