OnePlus Z Release Date and Prices

Rumours circulating around the new OnePlus device, now confirmed as the OnePlus Nord, all suggest that we can expect the new phone some time in July. On July 1^st, OnePlus allowed only 100 pre orders to be placed, which happened to sell out in the matter of just one second. There are expected to be two more pre order sessions on their website directly, being July 8^th and 15^th however, it’s not yet confirmed whether these will be for only 100 orders. Multiple rumours suggested the phone would be released to other sites on July 10^th however, this doesn’t seem likely given OnePlus’s pre order sessions.

We can be close to certain that the phone will be released in late July, possibly early August in the UK. There’s not yet any confirmation as to whether a pre order will be available in general or the phone will be instantly released. One thing OnePlus are always doing with new releases is slowly drip feeding us bits of information until the big reveal. This keeps their fan base on their toes and allows them to get more excited as time progresses. OnePlus has already confirmed the price of the Nord, sitting at around £410. For quite some time, OnePlus have been marketing this smartphone as the affordable handset, which would definitely be the case if it sits at this price range.

 

OnePlus Nord Design

There have actually been a few different leaks and renders that show us how the phone is going to loon. A lot of these renders are almost identical to the OnePlus 8 devices. Expected to feature a 6.4 inch display, you’re never going to miss a thing. Whether you’re watching films or scrolling through the internet, you’ll be doing so in great detail.

Much like other OnePlus handsets and market leading devices, you shouldn’t expect to find an audio jack on this phone. Given the quality of Bluetooth headphones on the market these days, this feature just isn’t needed anymore. Removing headphone jacks allow the phone to be more resistant to water too, upping it’s value considerably.

In these renders, you can see that the OnePlus Nord has a punch hole camera delicately sitting at the top of the screen. This leaves for a very full screen experience with very little bezel taking away from it either. On the back, you’ll find all 3 or 4 lenses packed together in a raised box in the corner. Overall, this is a very stylish and neat device.

Seeing as 5G is something that has grown massively over the last 12 months, it would come as a slight surprise if the OnePlus Nord were not to be 5G compatible. Moving with the times, the Nord will contain the Snapdragon 765G chipset, allowing it to work alongside 5G. Of course, you’re going to need a 5G ready plan and 5G in your area. Camera Set Up

The camera set up on any phone is where you’ll see most of the rumours coming from. Cameras have become progressively more important as time has passed, opening up a huge range of avenues for smartphone manufacturers. Whilst there has been no confirmation on any OnePlus Nord camera rumours, a few leaks can make it pretty likely.

Following on from a few leaks, it’s suggested that the OnePlus Nord will hold two lenses in the front camera. This will offer a 32MP and 8MP lens, creating some extremely eye catching selfies. Rumours from earlier on in the Nords life suggested one a single selfie camera. Whilst two lenses would be exceptional, one lens is plenty, given the knowledge OnePlus holds.

Again, there have been quite a few different rumours surrounding the rear camera however, they do seem to conflict. Quite a few rumours on the internet and even a tease of the phone on TV show three different lenses on the back. Seeing as there are so many different sources saying this, it wouldn’t come as much of a shock should it be true. However, a very trusted leaker in the community announced that the phone may actually hold 4 different lenses, keeping up with a lot of recent handsets.

Nobody is certain as to how many lenses are found on the OnePlus Nord, even though we’ve got a pretty good idea. One thing we do know is that the phone will have a flagship level camera.
